Dayten’s parents came to us earlier this year to create a birthday cake for his older sister’s birthday so when they came back to us again for another cake design, we were thrilled! This time around, for Dayten’s 1st Birthday, held at Bishop Musuem, they went with a 101 Dalmatians theme.
Along with a Dalmatian cake topper, we created 20…yes 20! unique sugar dogs. Each one was handmade, and completely edible, with their own little touch – from their positions, collar colors, spots, etc. – every dog was different.
Dayten’s party was quite the event with probably 300+ guests in attendance (which is typical for a baby’s first luau here in Hawaii). To keep the kids occupied, they had a jumpy castle, a rock climbing wall, a claw-toy arcade game completely filled with stuffed Dalmatian dogs as prizes. Ono Pops was there, along with a sushi man. It looked like a fabulous party. Happy Birthday Dayten!
