On Sunday, April 6, Hawaii Wedding Pros teamed up with the JW Marriott Ihilani Ko Olina and hosted The Wedding Experience – a wedding showcase and fashion show featuring elite vendors from around the island of Oahu. Guests were invited to sample signature cuisine, meet local wedding vendors, view the latest wedding trends, dance the night away to live entertainment and visit stunning sites on-property.

We were invited to participate, and teamed up with Su-V Expressions, Les Saisons, Bradley and Lily to create a tablescape and accompanying cake based on inspiration from these gorgeous gold Monique Lhullier gowns.
We created a 4-tier light pink, shimmery rose gold fondant cake, with an extra tall tier. We drew inspiration from the ornate detail and cool textures of the dress and piped a gold floral lace design onto the cake, and accented with a small cascade of edible, all-handmade ivory and gold sugar roses.

Ihilani Wedding Experience Piping
As samples for guests, we served our Yellow Butter Cake with Fresh Strawberry Cream Cake Shooters.
We had a fabulous time getting to know some newly engaged couples, working with some local wedding vendors and touring the property – Ihilani is gorgeous and definitely has some great wedding venues!
