Now that the super-busy summer wedding season is over and we’re getting back into the swing of things over here, we thought we’d start a “My Week in Photos” series on the blog, sharing some of the photos (some you may have seen on Instagram or FaceBook) and others that are new.
It was a busy week with weddings AND events – both the Pumpkin Carving Festival Welcome Reception and the Wedding Cafe’s Cake & Catering Workshop kept us out and about. And another big milestone was made on Instagram. See all our photos from this past week below:
I attended the Pumpkin Carving Festival reception in preparation for the “Corporate Competition & Executive Carve Down”. Come down and watch us on Wednesday, October 23 as Matthew Delaney, CEO of The Hawaii Group (who was named earlier this year by Pacific Edge Magazine as one of the fastest growing business executives in Hawaii to watch) and I will be carving a pumpkin, in competition for charity, from 4:30-8:30 PM at Tamarind Park at Bishop Square, downtown. Here I am with Kellie Schmidtke – Director of Marketing & Communications for The Hawaii Group.
The coveted Perpetual Trophy for the winning team!
We reached over 7000 followers on Instagram! Are you following us @acakelife?
Our table set-up at The Wedding Cafe’s Cake & Catering Workshop. It was a SOLD OUT event! If you missed it, you can always view the video highlights HERE.
Cupcake samples galore! Mini red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese icing – one of our most popular flavors.
Being “interviewed” by Tanna of The Wedding Cafe, and with the rest of the panel.
A few of the display cakes at our booth.
On one of our cakes, we added edible glitter to the fresh roses to make it SPARKLY!
Putting the final touches on one of our wedding cakes – a 3-tier white fondant cake with purple bands and flowers.
