Earlier this month we participated in Watanabe Floral’s Inaugural Bridal Expo. They invited various local wedding vendors and transformed their showroom into several gorgeous wedding vignettes. The draping, lighting and florals really were exquisite.
One of the hot wedding trends for 2014 are woodlawn weddings (very natural and rustic) so we created a ‘Secret Garden’ inspired, simple 3-tier white fondant cake with gold rope bands and subtle fresh floral accents of bridal protea, pincushions and ferns. The cake was placed atop a wood stump cake stand (from Event Essentials), and adorned with a ring of matching moss and foliage around the base. And we offered our always-popular red velvet mini cupcakes with cream cheese icing for samples.
It was a joy to work with such amazing vendors, and we can’t for the next Expo!
